Augstsprieguma sistēmu projektēšanā atkarība no viena avota un pēkšņas komponentu novecošanās no mantotajiem zīmoliem rada nepieņemamu ražošanas risku. Pēc tam, kad Sanken pārtrauca plaši ieviesto UX-F0B diode, HVC konstruēja HVD-SL513G kā tiešs uzlabots aizvietotājs. Tas nodrošina īpaši ātru reverso atjaunošanos (trr) no 40ns pie nominālā apgrieztā sprieguma 13kV—nodrošinot labāku termisko rezervi un ilgtermiņa stabilitāti salīdzinājumā ar mantoto daļu. Nav nepieciešama dēļa pārveidošana.
